How to fold a handkerchief
By Dinner suit teamIt may have gone out of fashion in the nineties but the mans handkerchief is back in vogue. A smartly folded handkerchief really does add a final stylish touch to any mans suit. Rather than simply stuffing it into your pocket use our following guide to achieve the perfect handkerchief.
1/ Firstly if you don’t already own a high quality silk handkerchief we recommend a retailer such as Marks and Spencer who have over 40 in various colours and patterns. Remember if you are part of a wedding party you’ll want to ensure that you replicate the colours and styles.
2/ For a perfect crease iron the handkerchief and then fold it in half (length ways).

3/ Look for the the center of the folded edge, grab a corner of the fabric and fold toward the raw edge. Now repeat this action with the other corner so you’ve formed a triangle.
4/ Again take a corner along the raw edge of the fabric, fold towards the center, and cross over the center line. Repeat this with the other corner of the handkerchief.
5/ Finally turn it over so the folds are in the back and then tuck the handkerchief carefully into your jacket pocket ensuring the peak is pointing up just above the edge of the pocket.
